The wait for Shelby County’s first Taco Mama restaurant is over. The fast-casual taqueria opened its doors in late May in a festive space in Cadence Place on Cahaba Valley Road.

“Early on we wanted to be on 119, and now, to find the right place here with Edgar’s Bakery and Bellini’s, with this incredible patio, it’s very exciting,” says Will Haver, founder of Taco Mama. “Our unique, fresh food and creative menu, in a laid-back, fun atmosphere and great patio, it’s really a perfect fit! Whether enjoying a hand-shaken margarita or having your business gathering catered, we have something for everyone.”

Taco Mama’s crowd-pleasing approach has been recognized through numerous awards for great food and a diverse selection of hand-shaken margaritas. Taco Mama’s fast-casual concept features a laid-back, funky atmosphere with hand-selected music and garage doors that open to a spacious, festive patio.

Taco Mama offers a clever selection of freshly prepared tacos, burritos, quesadillas and burrito bowls featuring premium, slow-roasted meats and fresh produce, prepared daily – with the option to “Build Your Own” or served “Our Way.” Taco Mama will also offer catering services with delivery or pickup, featuring taco/nacho bars, burrito boxes and quesadilla trays to feed small and large groups.

A large selection of hand-shaken margaritas made with fresh juices like the Mi Casa, Prosecco Fizz, and Mercedes margaritas will be available along with offerings like the Watermelon and Blood Orange margaritas. Mexican and local beer offerings such as Good People Brewing’s new Mexican style lager, Muchacho, will also be available.

Taco Mama is always looking for talented culinary and hospitality team members and will create up to 50 opportunities for full-time and part-time team members. For culinary and serving interviews go to Tacomamaonline.com or come by the restaurant to Join Team Taco.
