The Proposal: Miles proposed to me (Mary Caroline) in our backyard, which he had decorated with lights and sunflowers. I had just gotten off work and was totally surprised. Then we headed to Auburn where our friends and family were waiting at a surprise tailgate.

The Wedding Dress: I knew I wanted something super simple and classic. I found the perfect dress at Village Bridal (they are fantastic!) in Homewood.

Favorite Moment from the Big Day: Our first look was pretty special. It had been raining all morning and we had planned to do the first look outside. When it finally stopped my photographers positioned me outside and had to stuff trash bags under the train of my dress to keep it from getting wet. It was pretty comical. I had never seen Miles smile so big once he turned around. (I couldn’t move since I had the trash bags under my dress, so he just had to walk to me.) We also had the best time dancing with all our friends and family at the reception. The reception was definitely the most fun I have ever had.

Favorite Wedding Details: All of it. Mostly loved just being surrounded by friends and family. The details were beautiful, but the people were what mattered.

What You Are Doing Now: We currently live in Crestline with our two dogs, Bates and Rue. Miles works as a project manager at Taylor Miree Construction and I (Caroline) work as an Event Manager at The Florentine.
