Meaghan and Josh got engaged on a perfect day in Charleston, South Carolina. They had just finished taking a horse-drawn carriage tour, and Josh had asked their tour guide to take a picture of them. Little did Meaghan know, Josh had asked him to video the proposal. The next thing she knew, Josh was on one knee asking her to be his wife.
the wedding dress:
The White Room was the second store Meaghan went to, and as soon as she put on the Carolina Herrera gown, she knew it was the one. It was classic and sweet – everything she wanted her wedding dress to be.
Meaghan’s mom spent the night at her house the night before the wedding. She wrote Meaghan the most heartfelt note the day of the wedding and gave her a “Mrs.” box with Meaghan’s great aunt Anne’s ring in it to wear as her “Something Old” for the day. It was an emotional but sweet moment between her and her mom and that Meaghan will always cherish. Meaghan’s house is close to Trinity UMC, so she and the bridesmaids got ready at the house before the wedding. Josh and Meaghan also had their first look at her house, where they would start their new life as husband and wife. Lastly, communion was very important to them to have as a part of their wedding ceremony. They had the pleasure to serve their wedding party the Lord’s Supper while the rest of the congregation also participated in communion.
