Alabaster Christmas Parade

Dec. 1

10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Come see floats, bands, dance groups, horses, dogs, Jeeps, Corvettes and much more as the annual Alabaster Christmas Parade moves along Highway 31. Kids can collect candy, and of course, Santa Claus will be riding atop the fire truck.

Helena Christmas Parade

Dec. 1

1 p.m.

The theme for the 48th annual Helena Christmas Parade is “The Sounds of Christmas.” Ron Holly, a long-time resident and city volunteer who donates his time at Buck Creek Festival, Helena Market Days and Friday Night Movies in Old Town, will be honored. Ron also serves as the Official Greeter for Helena in the Red Caboose in Old Town by the train tracks. Lineup will begin as early as 9 a.m., and all floats must be in place and ready to be judged by 11:30 a.m. The parade is set to begin at 1 p.m., but if all the participants are in place, it might begin earlier than the 1 p.m. time frame. Colonial Christmas Lunch and Tour

American Village, Montevallo

This Christmas tradition is the perfect outing for your family, club, senior group or church organization. Enjoy a delicious lunch with hostess Abigail Adams. Sing carols in the Colonial Chapel. Share a Christmas Homecoming with the Washingtons. Visit the President’s House. Tickets are $30 per person, and reservations before the event are required.
