1. Helena Market Days

Voted Shelby Living Magazine’s “Best of the Best Farmer’s Market” five times, Helena Market Days is proudly opening up again this year on June 3, 2022. Local vendors will be selling fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, soaps, candles, arts and crafts, coffees, teas and more. One unique thing about Helena Market Days is every week it helps fundraise for a different nonprofit organization. Marketplace at Lee Branch

Village at Lee Branch

This Alabama farmer’s market is rain or shine certified. Every Saturday guests can enjoy local vendors selling fresh produce and hand-made crafts. Visit The Market Place at Lee Branch to see which vendors will be there!

 

Generation Celebration

June 1 | 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Heardmont Park

Hosted by the North Shelby Library and the Mary Ellen Estes Senior Community Center, Generation Celebration is a fun-filled day of activities to foster fellowship between folks of all ages. 4. First Friday Festival

June 3 | 5-8 p.m.

Downtown Calera

Brought to you by ERA King realtor Lisa Guarino, the First Friday Festival on Main Street hosts local vendors, artisans, musicians, food trucks and family-friendly activities for all ages. Visit Downtown Calera.org for more information.

 

5. Alabaster CityFest

June 4 | 9 a.m.-11 p.m.

Thompson High School

 Headlining Alabaster’s biggest festival this year is country music artist Lauren Alaina! Other artists include Vertical Horizon, Elvie Shane, Michael Warren, OPOV Band, Jason Hoard and the Bluegrass Worship Band, Twelve and Sanchez Tanniehill. CityFest not only showcases featured musicians but also local vendors, the Kids Zone and the Cruise In Car Show, too. There’s something for everyone at this festival! 6. Liberty Day Festival

June 24 | 5-9:30 p.m.

June 25 | 8 a.m.-9:30 p.m.

Main Street and Old Mill Square Park

What began as a way to celebrate the Statue of Liberty in 1986 now 36 years later has become one of Columbiana’s most festive events. Liberty Day Festival will feature live music, games, family-friendly activities, arts and crafts, a street parade and a fireworks display.
